Kauai Helicopter Tour

No view can beat an aerial one. Fly into the air on a helicopter and see the breathtaking beauty of Kauai as you fly along the coastline and above the trees. Kauai has a lot to offer to the skies above. You can get a helicopter tour through multiple services: Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, Sunshine Helicopters Kauai, Jack Harter Helicopters, and many others.

You can go kayaking in the Wailua River, a 20-mile-long river, one of the most popular rivers in Kauai. You can see the river via kayak or outrigger canoe. Boat rides are also available. The Wailua River showcases two very popular and accessible waterfalls: Opaekaa Falls and Wailua Falls. Open-air boats also offer guided tours of the Fern Grotto, a natural lava rock cave sheltered by draping ferns. This romantic area is a popular wedding venue. Also look for the Nounou Mountains (Sleeping Giant), a formation on a mountain ridge between Wailua and Kapaa that looks like a human figure lying on its back. The river can be seen by car if you happen to be driving along the way. Take Kuamoo Road (Hwy. 580), which goes inland along the north side of the river from Kuhio Highway (Hwy. 56). You’ll want to take in the special and sacred landmarks along the way, including Heiau temples, historical sites, Opaekaa Falls and the Keahua Arboretum.

Go snorkeling on the white sands of Kee Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Kauai located beneath Makana Mountain, called Bali Hai, in the movie South Pacific. Kee Beach can be found at the end of Hāʻena State Park, which is a state park located on the north shore of Kauaʻi. It is often referred to as the “end of the road” and marks the end point of the Kuhio Highway.
